Don’t think. Thinking is the enemy of creativity. It’s self-conscious and anything self-conscious is lousy. You can’t “try” to do things. You simply “must” do things.

Every day one should at least hear one little song, read one good poem, see one fine painting and — if at all possible — speak a few sensible words.

Never let others rent space in your head. Nine times out of ten they leave shit on the walls, a backed-up toilet and duck out at midnight without paying the last month’s bills.
